1. Energy Saving Kit

• BC Hydro and Terasen Gas offer a free Energy Saving Kit - valued at $75 - available to qualifying BC Hydro account holders that live in a low-income household.
• Income qualification is based on Statistics Canada’s Low Income Cut-Off and varies depending on where you live.
• Savings on power heat and water can add up to $60 per year depending on heating type, housing characteristics and existing energy consumption.

2. Energy Conservation Assistance Program (ECAP)

• Free home improvements worth up to $2,000
You qualify if:

• You have a BC Hydro account (if you rent, you need to fill out the Landlord Consent form)
• Your household income is less than the income limit at the back of the application form
• You spend more than $600 a year on electricity
This can include a free installation of:

• Energy Star refrigerator
• Insulation for attics, walls and crawlspaces
• Advanced draftproofing for windows and doors
