MEDOC Voluntary Travel Insurance
A comprehensive out-of-province travel insurance that ensures you have the coverage you need if faced with a medical emergency, travel cancellation or delay while traveling.

- Annual Base Plan provides coverage for an unlimited number of 35-day trips
- Supplemental Trip Plan coverage options available for single trips up to 182 days
- Trip cancellation on every trip
- Single trip options are also available
We are also pleased to advise that a MEDOC Single Trip Plan is available, providing coverage for up to $5,000,000 for emergency medical treatment while traveling outside your province or territory of residence or Canada and includes up to $4,000 Trip Cancellation, Interruption & Delay Insurance.

BCRTA Trip Cancellation/Interruption Plan
The coverage highlights include:
- Annual Multi-Trip Plan
- Trip Cancellation – up to a maximum of $5,000 per insured person per annual coverage period
- Trip Interruption – up to a maximum of $5,000 per insured person for each covered trip
- Up to a maximum of $3,500 for lodging, meals, car rental, telephone calls and taxi costs ($350 per day)
- Up to a maximum of $1,000 for baggage and personal effects during a covered trip
- Personal Effects – actual cash value of $500, whichever is less
- Document Replacement – up to a maximum of $200
- Baggage Delay – up to $400

Available to members families
- 100 Scholarships in the amount of $1500 For students beginning post-secondary studies following the completion of secondary school.
- Beginning this year (2009), all Canadian residents who are completing high school and are beginning post-secondary education are eligible to apply for a Johnson Scholarship.
