Age Friendly Communities
The Age Friendly Communities project is intended to assist and enable local government and communities to implement local age friendly initiatives. Dr. Elain Gallagher from the University of Victoria made a presentation to the 2009 BCRTA Delegate’s Day. As a follow-up to her presentation, Keith Coates has developed a PowerPoint presentation that can be used for the branches and members to initiate some local age friendly initiatives.

Johnson Announces New Scholarship Criteria
Johnson Inc is offering annually 100 scholarships valued at $1,500 to students attending a post-secondary educational institution in Canada.
The scholarship criteria have been updated. Beginning this year (2009), all Canadian residents who are completing high school and are beginning post-secondary education are eligible to apply for a Johnson Scholarship. Click here to get details and application forms...
